Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Outscoped collects, how it's used, and your choices. Short version: we collect what's needed to run the service, we don't sell your data, and we will never use your bid data to compete against you.

1. What we collect

Account data: name, company name, email, password (stored hashed; we cannot read it).
Customer Data you create: proposals, client names and contacts, square footage and pricing inputs, production-rate settings, logos, templates.
Proposal activity: when a proposal link is sent, opened, and signed, and the signature your client provides.
Usage and technical data: log data, device/browser type, IP address, and campaign parameters (UTM) that tell us how you found Outscoped.
Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store full card numbers.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: build, send, track, and store your proposals.
To operate reminders and integrations you enable.
To secure the service: fraud prevention, rate limiting, audit logs.
To communicate with you about your account and, if you opt in, product updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe that we honor promptly.
To understand and follow up with business visitors to Outscoped's public marketing pages.
To improve the product using aggregated, anonymized statistics that cannot identify any customer, client, or bid.

3. What we never do

We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
We never use your Customer Data to compete against you. Outscoped is built by people who also operate cleaning businesses. Your bids, rates, clients, and pipeline are never used to inform any cleaning business we operate, never shared with other customers, and never used to advantage anyone over you.
We never share your client lists or proposal contents except as needed to provide the service (below) or as required by law.

4. Who we share data with

Service providers who help us run Outscoped, bound to use data only on our instructions: cloud hosting (Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), email delivery, business visitor identification, and, only when you connect them, the integration services you choose (for example your CRM, Google Sheets, or Slack). When you enable an integration, we send it only the data described in that integration's description, and you can disconnect at any time. We may disclose data if required by law, and we will tell you when legally permitted to do so.

Website visitor identification

On Outscoped's public marketing pages—not the authenticated product or client proposal documents—we use GetLeads, a third-party business visitor identification service. GetLeads may use technical and visit information—such as IP address, device and browser information, referring page, pages viewed, and visit date and time—to match a website visit with business contact and company information from its data sources. When a match is available, we may receive information such as a visitor's name, job title, work email address, LinkedIn profile, company, industry, company size, region, and the page visited.

We use this information for business-to-business sales, marketing, site analytics, and follow-up about Outscoped. To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you, email [email protected].

5. Your clients' data

When you add clients and send them proposals, you are the controller of that information and Outscoped processes it on your behalf. Please only add client information you're entitled to use. Proposal recipients interact with a secure link; we collect their view and signature activity solely to show it to you.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, proposal links use unique expiring tokens, and each customer's data is isolated by account. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you as required by law and without unreasonable delay.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. If you close your account, you can export your data for 30 days, after which it is deleted from production systems, with backups purged on a rolling schedule. You can delete individual proposals and clients anytime in the product.

8. Your rights and choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data by using the product or emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA; we honor verified requests regardless of location. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. On the product, we use only the cookies needed for login sessions and basic analytics, and we do not run third-party ad trackers. Our public marketing site also uses the business visitor identification service described above.

9. Children

Outscoped is a business tool and not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or in the product before they take effect.
